Bravo, Sarkozy! French President Walked Out On Dumb American TV Infotainment

It's all over the news now so, no need to explain it again. I just want to use this opportunity to praise French President Nicolas Sarkozy for showing "the bird" to what has appeared to be a classic illustration of dumb American TV infotainment.

Poor idiot Leslie Stahl! She must have expected it to be the killer story. American TV killer story, that is. Nevermind European policy, Middle East crisis and restoration of U.S. - French relations! We want to know what the fuck has happened between Sarko and Cecilia, who dumped whom, who's been cheating on whom et fucking cetera! Because, to us, dumb American audience, that's a helluva news!

No need to be surprised: each nation has the television it deserves. Bunch of couch potatoes somewhere in Texas, Kansas or South Dakota "don't know nothin' 'bout" details of European politics, Middle East or, for that matter, religion. But they sure have an opinion. And they sure are too stupid to even grasp the idea that people may and have all the rights in the world to be protective of their personal lives. That it is none of you fucking business, Joe from Texas, what state leaders do in their private time (if they have one, of course) as long as it doesn't impair their capability to govern. Mostly, it doesn't.

Great nation leaders may not necessarily be that great when it comes to their marriage. And you know what? I'm OK with that, and so should be you.
